Strength
- Utilizing the Quality Materials
& The Latest Technology
The
PTE Strand system consists of high strength steel
cables, which are extruded with a plastic sheathing
over a fine layer of corrosion inhibiting lubricant
to which anchors are attached, allowing the cables
to be stressed within the body of concrete slabs
and beams comprising the structure. The concrete
is placed in the framework and is allowed to cure
for a few days. The cables are then stretched
with PTE Strand’s equipment producing a
highly tensioned structure. Some of the cost-saving
advantages of this system include:
- Up to 40%
reduction of concrete and 75%
- reduction of reinforced
steel.
- Reduced foundation loading and smaller
- foundation footprints.
- Reduced member sizes producing a lower
- building profile
and height.
- Continuous framing with less construction
- joints and greater
structural integrity.
- Crack-free waterproof slabs with long
- spans and a reduced
number of columns.
- Deflection and camber control coupled
- with quicker removal
of framework.
